Why is crossplay forced on Xbox series X?

YOu can not turn it off, without going into the consoles setting which then its not consumer friendly. It was told it would be able to turn it off. An when u do block it by settings on the console you can find no game.
Yet on Ps5 there is not issues like this.
You just sit in the laoding screen, so its forces you to turn it back on

Sounds like you have no servers available then, that serve the Xbox X world...
So its not like crossplay is forced ON.
Root cause problem is that you have no servers available to avoid it.
- @CyberDyme Yeah... my thoughts as well... but shouldn't there be some available? Even if they are just bot-filled?

Same for me. First time in I joined a game instantly. Then realised crossplay was on so came out and switched it off in xbox settings.
Since then, as others have said, it just sits at the loading screen saying "waiting for players".
So not a good start.
Same here. Just bought it for xbox to get rid of pc cheaters. In Beta, i was alle to disable crossplay. Now this.... so sad.
Game with alot pc players are just waste of time you put fill clip in them and they just shoot you.
Xbox says go into xbox network account which Is rubbish as any other game has tab on or off. Don't even start me on why we don't even ha
ve comms on a game in 2021.
But shouldn't have to keep going into that screen. I don't on xwing
I turned it off joined server but it's humans and quite few bots but that's better than lag fest from pc players
- @carsono311 This isn’t it working, we shouldn’t have to change our Xbox account settings to disable Crossplay where, the beta had a simple toggle.
- @Scottith_testing I agree with you. It should not be difficult to do. Another inexplicable move by EA DICE... I am sorry you are having to deal with this.

- @carsono311 Nope as it seems there are no bots to fill them up. Which is literally the whole reason they’re in the game🙄
After doing the trial atlast I can say this isn't worth your time trying to get crossplay off... its one of the worst BF games I have played and that is with "fixes". I truly feel bad for anyone suckered into paying for this.
- @1Hairy-Gorilla I tried getting a refund but of course I had passed the magical 2 week mark and was rejected. Seriously considering moving to PC or PlayStation.
- @carsono311 Turned cross play off and loads of xbox xs only servers (not tried on portal) , which is nice
- @bodkelly2 Last time I looked there was only 2 or 3 Portal servers with it turned off.
