Summarize your bug Go into your Soldier's "General / Options - Other" section, where you can select to opt in or out of CrossPlay by choosing OFF or ON. Here it appears as being ON by default. But when going to the toggle switch, the option is actually disabled to be toggled as you want. So it is not possible to choose to select OFF for CrossPlay. It is forced ON permanently.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Follow the steps as described above, on how to get to that plave in the menu where you change your preference for CrossPlay ON/OFF: Go into your Soldier's "General / Options - Other" section, where you can select to opt in or out of CrossPlay by choosing OFF or ON. Here it appears as being ON by default. But when going to the toggle switch, the option is actually disabled to be toggled as you want. So it is not possible to choose to select OFF for CrossPlay. It is forced ON permanently.
What happens when the bug occurs? You do not have the option to put CrossPlay to OFF as we wanted it to be. We are forced to be in CrossPlay by default, no matter if we want to or not.
What should be happening instead? We should have the toogle switch working instead, so we can set our preference to CrossPlay = OFF.

And yes, we are aware of the pre-requisite conditions for this toggle function to be available. But despite adhering to all the conditions, then the option to set CrossPlay to OFF is still not possible...

What happens when the bug occurs? I play with PC players!
What should be happening instead? Console only cross play
Why did you not mention to us CONSOLE gamers that we won't be able to play console only cross play as stated by you!!
You stated before the technical play test that xbox series x and ps5 can opt out of PC lobbies and play cross platform console only lobbies! Now you do a complete 180 and state that won't be happening!
This was a main reason I bought the game!!!
Absolutely garbage false advertising!

Me too, i have buy the game on Xbox SX because in the beta it was possible to desactivate the crossplay and in the final release it's not possible, it's write on the option to desactive it directly with the xbox live network but it's not a good solution.

I had already opened a bug report on this problem!
Please also note that it is not correct that you write we have 'no console only crossplay', as it is working fine on PlayStation!
It is only on the xbox that this appears to be bugged...

This isn't just for the cross play button in the menu for xbox.
This is notifying EA that they stated prior to the technical play test you can have console only lobbies (PS5 and XBOX SERIES X) when turning off cross play.
Now they changed their minds and stated yesterday that if you turn off cross play on Xbox series X/S you will only get Xbox series X/S lobbies. Not console lobbies.
Ive attached two screen shots in my first message showing them stating that.
Please fix it dice i bought the game to play only with xbox player or ps5 player.
YUP Its baddddd, even when you turn it off you cant find a game. Shame on Dice

Why should any gamer have to do that, as I did and you can not find a game. This is just anit consomer
This doesn't work the way you think yes you will only play Xbox live players but only if they have also turned of cross play this way removing you from play with other Xbox players with it turn on so the pool is to small to get a match crossplay wasn't locked on in the beta I turned it off and I never had a hard time getting a match either this is a early access problem or EA is going to screw Xbox players like Activision did in COD forced crossplay or be punished for not wanting to play with PC thanks EA Dice earning the hate AGAIN
- @dumhick72288 Agree 100%. Not happy about this. So not cool. I hated COD for making us play with PC.
So the problem with this is that most people don’t know where to find the settings buried deep in the console privacy settings.
because if this, most people aren’t opting out of cross play and for those of us that do opt out can’t find a server. We end up in endless lobbies waiting for games that never start.
furthermore I heard that PS players do have the option to turn off crossplay right from the game settings menu. Why would they do that to us Xbox players? I’m so upset.

I've had to completely turn off crossplay on my series X as I'm sick of being up against PC players who have the far advantage over console players aim assist or not, mouse and keyboard will always out do controller. What happens to when we could turn off playing with PC players. Dice are to * imo
Please let us play only versus othe xbox players or playstation players
after desactivate crossplay for all game and all not xbox live game, waiting 45min and never found a game, and never a game same with bots ....
Please put the crossplay option Off as the playtest beta
