Crossplay is arguably a failure and will never be able to satify both player base
On one end you have console players who want stronger aim assist because their input device is just not suited for an fps
On the other you have PC players who hates console players because aim assist is just a soft aimbot
There is no making one side happy without hindering the other
I've had this turned off since launch, I sometimes have problems finding games, but only at certain times of day. Otherwise it's fine. I would prefer a console only crossplay option but I think it's unlikely to appear, partly because of the generally low player count and partly because there would be just as many players wanting crossplay for all platforms.
The more choice you give, the smaller the player base becomes and this BF game is hardly enjoying record player numbers.
@ABC-Warrior-real You can find games with crossplay off? Do you play on PS5 or Xbox Series? American or European servers? I'm thinking of buying a console this Christmas. ⛄

nah i think crossplay is fine. If you want to play console vs console fine. M&K only fine. I think cross-play is a great feature I've met some cool folks in 2042.
One thing I must say playing against M&K players is not easy when using a controller they def have the advantage over you.

There's definitely a weirdness when it comes to cross-play hit reg. You also have the issue of aim assist and what seems like the unwillingness of Developers to actually tune it to the same percentages of an average mouse player.
If you play shooters on PC with a controller, it should be supported, but you should either get minimal aim assist or not at all.
Those seem to be the biggest issues, and it's not exclusive to this game either. It's all cross-play games. While on paper it seems great and only more people to play with, but in reality it's console players wanting to use the xbox app for comms instead of discord and I just can't do that.
There is one more hand. These are the BF players like myself with no ego or anything to prove that just wants to be in entertaining objective focused matches with others that are playing to win no matter the platform.
I personally do not want to go back to a Battlefield experience without crossplay. Clans can now recruit anyone regardless of the platform. If only BF2042 had clans.
