- @Bruschettaaa__ Can you give a source? AFAIK nobody in media seems to be allowed to even discuss lack of crossplay because it would hurt sales.
- @LJBattlefield MasterDoom93, in his last live on youtube, said that there will be no cross platform. (The live is in Italian)

if I have any update and allowed to share i will keep you all posted.Got off the phone with a finance buddy of mine who's also a gamer, told him it seems there's a good chance BF2042 will ship without crossplay, he laughed and said the investors would eat EA alive if they did that.
IF EA are having to make versions for PS4 and Xbox1 because not enough people have the next gen consoles yet, then they would be bonkers to not include, at the very least, Xplay for consoles. Otherwise come launch it may be a bit poor server wise for the next gen players, with either a small number of servers being potentially half populated with awful AI bots.
I wonder if the issue is more political than technical.
