If it is taking this long for map reworks im afraid of the next game maps, which may as well be polish turds compared to 2042's.
This is an issue that's been speculated about a lot, but gets more confirmed as time goes on.
Can Dice create a battlefield game that meets the expectations of a battlefield game?
Every time Dice fail to meet expectations it becomes a little more easy to feel they're simply incapable. That they're not being lazy, or *, but that what's being asked from them is very hard for them. There's no sense of them exceeding expectations, of Dice feeling they have to make up for the state of the game at launch. It's as if all they think it really needs is a bit of polish, and that 2042 is not a game built on some fundamentally flawed concepts.
All of which makes looking forward to any future battlefield game an exercise in managing anxiety.
I have to say, as things stand, I cant buy any further games from Dice until they've been released and I can tell if they're close to what was promised.
