Damage Log Explaining

Can somebody from developers explain in to details DELTATICK? What that numbers mean? Lower better? Higher better? Why some damage have red color? If higher worst from which number you can say "that its problem" - 50 ? 99+ ?

Thanks

@OskooI_007 I agree. It's got to be a server side thing. Going back and looking at it again, I notice that some of the first hits to dmg are at server tick 0 instead of 99+ like it should be. Go back and watch and you'll see what I mean. Maybe it's the first hit that's missing? And then if that's the case the fact that the next hit is 0 is even more telling as you get hit twice in the same server tick....

I've been saying the whole time this feels like bad server/netcode. The other thing getting to me is the fact that this is all happening sub 40ms ping and sub 90ms ALAT...

I vote for that the damage log is bugged like the rest for the game.

I mean I died from 40 damage (damage log only entry in the damage log) when I had full health in nearly every game.

@EA_Atic How about you just play the game yourself? Thats the easiest way for you to see that damage numbers doesnt always add up to whatever health you had when dying.

You already see in this thread that people are reporting the same so its not just me. I'm not going to have stutterfield just to record videos for you. 😇

I might take a screenshot if I remember when it happens where I die, the person who got the kill is not listed in the damage log and the person who got the "assist" is listed with damage less than 100. So for some reason the damage log doesnt always show the last damage done. But I'm not starting video recording that leaves my game stuttering just to send you a video. If you need that then I suggest you record yourself playing and study the damage log afterwards.

Hint: if you do the latter you might also find a lot of other questionable stuff going on as well. I've had odd cases where I was passenger in a vehicle that gets taken out and damage log shows the driver/pilot as the one doing damage to me (and killed me) instead of the enemy player who actually took out the vehicle (and rightfully was credited for the kill). 😃

@Echo6Echo Good call on the missing info or frames from the server.

It appears the server isn't sending all the damage events to the client. Meaning if someone shoots you with 5 bullets, you'll only feel 3 or 4 bullets hit before you die.

It's appears the server is killing you before it finishes sending all the bullet damage events to you.

This still describes half my deaths. I’ve fallen dead before the sound of the shooting is heard, and this game is over a year old. How is this still broken!?
