@Raven3356it made dogfighting pretty easy (hence obviously you would do better in dogfighting), I believe battlefield v doesn't even have an dedicated dogfighting community like older battlefield (3/4) had, it was partly due to blindspots that people spend hours and hours fighting in private dogfight servers and still were improving after months/years of practice. For this reason there aren't that many expert dogfighting pilots in bf v compared to older titles, so that makes bf v dogfighting also much easier, it's pretty easy to master dogfighting in bfv (low skill ceiling) compared to past titles.
Guesswork while dogfighting in previous titles meant, that you had predict and read your opponent, while they tried the same against you, while at the same time you tried trick or deceive your opponent. If you lose this aspect of the game with decoupled freelook, then when two pro pilots face each other in a turn fight, they would just fly into the same loop, circle infinitely because trying to trick/break off from the loop/circle from your opponent would get you killed, since the other pilot would see you and just shoot you down. The issue is that it make dogfighting more way restrictive and less creative.
I understand you might dislike guesswork being involved, some might like it, some might not, which is fine and subjective.
But like I said, I expect it to be in battlefield 2042, as decoupled freelook isn't without benefits, it makes it easier to learn for new player but in turn caps the skill ceiling, which might make dogfighting boring for more experienced players once they get to a certain skill level, it's a trade-off really
