The weather system have always been a gimmick to try and get appeal in the casual crowd
It doesn't add anything of value to the gameplay, they are an annoyance more than anything else
I agree it didn't add anything to BF4 and it doesn't add anything to 2042.
I disagree. Delete them from current releases
The tornadoes and sand storms. It is especially bogus when a sand storm comes in and you cannot see the enemy and they cap simply because there are more that cannot be seen.
Weather should not be a win condition
Plus one for realistic weather effects and events.
Hopefully in a future battlefield we will see a wildfire extreme weather event moving through a forest into an urban area.
We had something similar in one of the BF1 maps but it was purely visual and didn't inflict health damage.
I also remember realistic weather and sun effects were a very popular request a few years ago and now we have the tech to implement them in game people complain!

Right? Can't wait to either be burned alive, or forced out of cover into enemy gunfire on 80% of matches.
Maybe we should just play musical chairs where we take turns moving while the other aims.
Who needs strategy, teamwork, skill and tactics when we can just delete all of that and blanket over it with RNG instead?
