.....and if you read his post, he's trying to tell you how you can accomplish that.
I'm going to be brutally honest here and it's not because I think people shouldn't be angry at DICE with the state of the game, etc., but I feel a "told you so" is in order here. Not to you personally but to all those early adopters paying premium prices only to be disappointed in some way or another time and time again. We always seem to arrive at this same place where some come into a forum and try to rally the troops, telling people what many of us already knew. I find myself asking, when will these people learn?
Personally, I think these early releases in Gold Editions, etc. are a good thing for folks like me. I actually use them to learn for myself whether a game will be worth buying. I get to see where the problem areas are, ask questions of those who are playing the game, watch the gameplay videos, reviews and most importantly the developer's reaction. If issues that I'm concerned about are addressed prior to the full release, then I'll buy the game. If I see they are really struggling or not dealing well with the situation, I will pass on the game and perhaps revisit it later.
I was really looking forward to BF2042 and actually still am, but my main (perhaps only) focus is on Portal. I don't care about a lot of things some folks are complaining about although the suspension of the XP in Portal may be a deciding factor for me if not resolved by the full release.
Just to be clear though, I'm not an apologist. .....I'm a realist. I think you have every right to be disgruntled about the issues but hopefully you can get your refund and / or at least learn a lesson from this for next time.
I appreciate that. And while it isn't fully a deciding factor for myself here either. I understand for you personally it might be a learning factor for you. However in my situation and thousands of others it is a game breaker. There was no preliminary warning or future foresight that could of been given too see what this early access is. The gaming world has gone downhill in the last 5 years with unfortunate releases from lessor companies. I for one hold things to expectations that seemingly from this release is way overly viewed. We as the consumer continue to take table scraps from these companies and me personally it might be a future delayed investment.

That was my point though. There are loads of examples in the industry of titles coming up short and / or having issues upon release. I'm not trying to make excuses for these companies but I really have to wonder why so many still seem surprised by this even after knowing its a real problem in the industry.
My advice? ....stop taking those table scraps because until people (who have a problem with things like this) do, they will never change. Something else to consider though (and what I realize) is that many (perhaps most) will never likely seek a refund and maybe aren't as bothered to complain about the problems or perhaps ok awaiting for solutions. ....so again, I won't waste my efforts trying to convince others what to do but instead use that to my advantage. .....let others essentially test the game for me before I buy.
- 4 years ago@Kean_1111 I hear ya. And yes it is my own fault for getting on the hype train. I have been a long time battlefield fan since the beginning. It's a shame the title I like the most has gone down the pathway it has.
