Deployable protection

What if the deployable cover had extra panels in the left, middle, and right that slide up and down that cover you while standing? And they can be destroyed after a couple of hits. It's be nice to have this extra protection from it

  • The DCS Deployable cover is being used more as a grief tool that limits player/team mobility in game instead of being used as it was intended to protect against incoming fire. Let’s not add to the current problems with it by making it even larger.

@SeriousJuJu I agree. The only times I really use the deployable cover is to revive a squadmate that is in the line of fire.

I mostly just use the deployable cover to hinder movement around Rush objectives. It'd be nice if it were larger but I have a feeling it would be exploited to high heaven

You mean how they put it in door entrances and stuff like that? Yeah that does seem a bit annoying. Wonder if they could put some protrusions in the front of the design of the cover so they can't place it direct in the front of an entryway?

What if it couldn't be put directly in places they place the cover and only the left and right sides of the cover had the extra panels? Again they can be moved up and retracted back down using the "use" key from behind or in front of the cover and it can be destroyed separately from the main part after a couple of shots.

  • I love that cover, in the right hotspot it can really safe a lot of teammates from needed a zap from a good doctor.

It is sad that it does not contribute to the mastery at all.

I generally either use 2 trophy systems or 1 cover and 1 trophy system.

Sometime I also use Crawford's turret as makeshift cover too.

I’d argue that part of the appeal, at least for me, is that there are blockades that need to be over come. So placing a shield in front of a door is totally a legit tactic.

I come to play battlefield over other games for this exact reason. Same goes for the turret discussion in another thread.
