DICE has stated many times they are aware of the disappointment. DICE has even said they weren't happy with where the game was at launch.
Go read the blog posts. Go watch the Dev talk videos. Go listen to the podcasts. Scroll through the Dev's personal Twitter feeds. Communication is a two way street.
The online community isn't always right and the online community isn't necessarily representative of the entire player base. Consider that 2042 has likely been bought/downloaded 10million times. Less than 5000 people are likely voicing their opinions online. This board probably has less than 50 regulars. Even then those online voices are more often than not conflicting.
You make it seem like community feedback should be sole/primary factor in the decision making process. The reality is that DICE is likely constrained/influenced by other factors. Budget. EA directives. Available resources/skills. In-game telemetry.
Also I'm going to need everyone in this topic to PayPal me $5. If you don't then I'll conclude that the only possible explanation is that you didn't listen
We are a very small portion of the actual player base; I doubt they listen to us very much.
This late in the game all the feedback we are providing is likely for the next Battlefield in the series.
