I am so tired of hearing about "rights," when it comes to video games. Sounds more like an entitled mindset, to me.
EA has a product that they offered for sale. Each player agreed to the Terms and License agreements before they played it--and even gave you 2 hours of playtime in which you could return it. The agreements basically stated that EA owns it, can manage it however it wants, can regulate and control gameplay if/when necessary, and can ban people that have been determined to have cheated. Anything else they may offer you is just icing on the cake, as the saying goes.
In the future, to avoid disappointment, try waiting for a bit before buying a game. Check it out for yourself, if there's a free trial. Play the open beta, if available. Wait for others to post video footage of their experiences. Read reviews from sources you trust. Make your decision after you have done all of that. Be an informed consumer (with everything you buy)!
If you buy something without doing your due diligence as a consumer, you have no one to blame but yourself for your loss and disappointment. No one forced you to buy it; you did so of your own free will and impatience. You went in, blind, and now you're paying the price for making a poor buying decision.
Hopefully, a lesson was learned from all of this.
