[Devs Read Pls] Feedback for XP system

1. Hit points

I want to know how much damage I've dealt to the enemy who just bhops away and dissappear so that I could decide to chase him or not.

We want to know how much a specific weapon with specific attatchments deals in specific distance; so that I can get the hang of the overall firepower depends on the distance. 

I want to call out to my friends how much I've dealt to an enemy because it is a precious information when we are in a desperate fights.

And, here is my recommendation you guys should make and people will be happy. 

  • Kill reward = 20 XP // from now on, A general kill on 1vs1 situation would be a 120 XP in most situations!
  • Assist = Based on the damage you did!  E.g. Assist 84 XP (I guess we don't need to bring back "Assist count as a kill")

and all of these also applies to the VEHICLEs too. (Especially in the aerial fights, the hitpoints are both needed and satisfying to see)

+ what happend to the "Vehicle Disabled" and "Vehicle Mobility Hit"??

because they were also very important bit of info and also satisfying. 

2. Return of all the bonuses

  • Multi-Kill - Kill two or more enemies in a few seconds (20)
  • Headshot Bonus - Kill an enemy with a shot to the head (25)
  • Marksman Bonus - Kill an enemy by shooting their head with a Sniper Rifle over a long distance (25)
  • Comeback Bonus - Kill an enemy after a four death streak. Each death after four will add another 10 to the score (40+)
  • Killstreak Stopped - Kill an enemy after they reach a four killstreak. Each kill after four will add another 10 to the score (40+)
  • Avenger Bonus - Kill an enemy who recently killed your teammate (25)
  • Savior Bonus - Kill an enemy who is currently injuring or suppressing your teammate (25)
  • Squad Wiped - Kill the last surviving member of an enemy squad (50)
  • Payback - Kill the same enemy who previously killed you (50)
  • Suppression Assist - Suppress an enemy and allow a teammate to kill them (10)

This list here is the basic bonuses of Battlefield 4, a game released 9 years ago.

Now, I want to say 

"Where are They"

They made the game much better. Just watch any BF4 montage videos and see those chain of numbers and bonuses stacking.

That's just nice to look at. It feels rewarding, It makes you feel you've done something.

I hope you guys carry this over to the 2042. 

These would not be that hard to implement and yet will be very rewarding for you guys because it would be very noticable change and people will praise you guys. 

3. Squad Bonuses

  • Last Man Spawn - Have a squadmate respawn on your position while you are the last player alive in your squad (50)
  • Squad Avenger Bonus - Kill an enemy who recently killed your squadmate (50)
  • Squad Healing - Heal a squadmate with a Medic Bag or First Aid Pack (15)
  • Squad Order Bonus - Give an order to your squad as the Squad Leader. This bonus will be given every time a squadmater follows the order (50)
  • Squad Order Followed - Follow on order passed down from a Squad Leader (25)
  • Squad Repairing - Repair a squadmate's vehicle with the Repair Tool. The more the vehicle is repaired, the higher the score (15)
  • Squad Resupplying - Supply one magazine or grenade to a squadmate with the Ammo Pack or Ammo Box (15)
  • Squad Revive - Revive a squadmate with the Defibrillators (20)
  • Squad Savior Bonus - Kill an enemy who is currently injuring or suppressing your squadmate (50)
  • Squad Spawn On You - Have a squadmate respawn on your position (25)
  • Squad Spot Bonus - Spot an enemy and have a squadmate kill them (50)
  • Squad Suppression Assist - Suppress an enemy and allow a squadmate to kill them (20)
  • Squad Vehicle Assist - Damage a vehicle and have your squadmate destroy it (75)

These are also from BF4

All the actions regarding squads should reward players more than what it used to be (at least double like on this list I guess)

and....

WE NEED "SQAUD ORDER THING" (The part I highlighted RED on the list)

Right now, giving orders to sqaud members and them accomplish their job grants NOTHING 

Didn't you guys say that you want to give focus to the squad-based gameplay... without these bonuses???????

Yeah, it's simple bring them back before season 1 starts please. (Before more and more people starts asking)

4. XP Stacking

The number on the right side shows the accumulated score of the recent actions. 

This is also what people wants to see.

I made an example of how this would look like in BF2042

                     

[M5A3]shangusburger 20 XP   + 432XP

      Headshot Bonus 10 XP

Squad Avenger Bonus 25 XP

 Squad Savior Bonus 25 XP

    Sector Defended 25 XP

    [M5A3]Kosandra 20 XP

           Multi Kill 20 XP

       Squad Wiped 50 XP

   Killstreak Stopped 50 XP

        Enemy Hit 187 XP          

isn't it just satisfying???

would be really lovely!!


Now it's the end of the list I brought! 

Someone might bring up a question like

"Doesn't these make leveling up much easier? Which might not be in line of DICE's design of Leveling/Progression system"

True! But I believe it is a good thing for all of us!

because people who are playing this game until now are mostly "the RED levels" anyways,

which means they've unlocked everything they need. 

We should think about the people coming back for the Season 1 Update

There will be a lot of low leveled players who want to unlock things fast and this change will be just perfect.

and simply it is SATISFYING to see more rows of numbers in the middle bottom of the screen.

Satisfaction matters in gaming.

  • @KoWoogi Big yes. I miss all those little dopamine hits from the XP rolling in on a sick killstreak and for doing all kinds of activities like this. Especially with the animated score from previous BF's that ran the numbers up in real time and was a treat to see them go up once you'd finished killing a few guys and were reloading and healing up.
  • @KoWoogi I like all of this too. I just don't want hit numbers because that turns it into an action rpg. It's a military game. You shouldn't know what hp they are at. Secure the kill or you don't

    This thread is exactly what I wrote up in my own thread regarding why we've had so many air vehicles nerfed and how to address it, people have no incentive to work as teams/squads or to work on taking out vehicles as they dont get assists.

    Boost up assist and squad bonuses and suddenly helis, jets etc will be looked at as XP piñatas

    And not having said text glitch out like it does at times currently with mutiple actions lol

    Indeed, to the top because this actually addresses many issues they're trying to fix via nerfs and other shortsighted adjustments
