Dice aware of PC crashes
https://twitter.com/BFBulletin/status/1583231805008023552 I hope this helps those who are having issues.
Thanks for posting this. I don't use Twitter much but one comment on the tweet was to disable EVGA Precision X/MSI Afterburner. It worked for me. So far played a few rounds and no freezing. I only wish I was smart enough to have figured it out myself. 😃 I think in the past, I've had problems with overclocking software with other games.
I also encountered crashes/freezes a couple of times. I also got the message of directx issue. Repair didnt fix it. I uninstalled the Nvidia driver and performed a clean reinstall of the latest driver, it seems it fixed it as I played more than an hour yesternite without such issues.
You guys try deleting the DX12 cache folder in Documents/Battlefield 2042?
@ATFGunrWell considering Consoles are easier to test for, I'm not surprised, furthermore it says a lot about their testing for PC. This many people should not be crashing, only a handful of people using specific drivers etc, but not people using recommended drivers and so fourth. But based on the crashes, it's clearly something to do with the game and not people's drivers.
Ive used Precision for like....ever. its worked in this game fine for a year soooo. Im actually sus about the latest nvidia drivers, the only thing i havent rolled back. Although if console players are freezing too, maybe not any of these things and just flat out the game. Not shocking...
Hopefully a fix soon!
