We are seeing positive signs that the reported scenarios of freezing for PC players have now been resolved.

As such, this issue is now classed as being closed.

If you keep seeing Freezing issues please post here.

I cleared the Nvidia DXcache and have no crashes with my nvidia card. I was constantly freezing beforehand.

Go to file explorer. Type in the search %localappdata%, scroll down to NVIDIA, double click DXcache, press CTRL+A and delete all.

EDIT - Skip all files in use.

I also deleted the cache file in the BF documents folder and cleared DX shader cache in disk cleanup.

Since doing this I have had no crashes unless I change any graphics settings in game, otherwise I have to repeat the above process to get it working again.

you misssed a few steps there -

if Nvidia - you have to disable Instant Replay first, or it wont let you delete the entire DX Cache, and its in the %APPDATA% LOCAL Folder, not the ROAMING folder.

@AOD_CapStar362You don’t need to delete the whole folder. The files in use are ok to skip. Just delete all the files that are not in use.

    @LucidDreaming84 You shouldn’t. The issues obviously stem from the latest update.
    
    However it took me 30 seconds of my life and was able to play crash/freeze free all weekend. I’d rather that than not be able to play.
