The blatant cheating, aimbot, instakill, wallhacking, in this game is ridiculous. I have never experienced low level cheating on this level in a BF game before. Couple that with console players locking on through walls, taking your head off with two shots, and having absolutely no recoil to speak of, and this game is turning into an absolute slog to play. In sixteen matches I played today searching for a win, every single one was lost. A combination of incredibly dumb teammates and enemy teams loaded up with players who obliterated anything and everything whilst, on average, barely going beyond the rank of 80. Multiple players were under the rank of 12 and racking up dozens of kills to almost no deaths. Easy anti-cheat is absolute garbage.

@Moab23 The only effective "anti-cheat" I have ever seen work was when we were able to host our own servers, admin those servers and ban players that were cheating/exploiting.Nothing else even comes close and probably never will.

Report every last one of them. It's your best chance of EA/DICE doing something about it.

@Moab23 No, but you realize this is a franchise that has been around for 20+ years and a lot of players didn't play this game at launch, and many are coming back to the series. Also infantry gameplay is pretty much the same as any shooter. A good fps player can hop on 2042 at level 3 and dominate.

Especially since in my experience most infantry players are barely aware of what's going on and are easily farmed for kills.

@SpudBug Yeah, well I've played all of the games online since BF2, and never really not played a BF game throughout any of the years since, often being my mainstay title. This one is considerably different in its experience compared to previous titles. Scores you acquired in previous games do not translate to this one in the same way. People coming in from COD should not be translating into the gameplay that well either against people who have been playing it a long time and are used to most of its nuances. Its suspect to watch some single digit player racking up headshot after headshot on moving targets with a sniper rifle, and only get headshots. I'm not the only one noticing this ingame either. Plenty of other players agreed there was something fundamentally wrong with some of these recent players.

I have never come across a rage cheater who became butthurt when banned, but on the other hand, I can imagine some closet hackers becoming so, when they fight so hard to seem legit, because being butthurt should work both ways.

@Moab23 Ok, but these complaints are not about hacking or cheating. It is about gameplay design.

Hacking is not a widespread problem in bf2042

@SpudBug It's not a popular game so of course cheating is not widespread.
Most are quite good at hiding wall hacks etc no one is going to make it blatant.
As it's free to play you will get more cheaters.

Would be nice if they would pony up the cash to license a good anti cheat instead of relying on freeware. I've seen EAC ban more legitimate players than cheaters. I mean I'm sure it catches a lot of cheaters but it has banned so many innocent players that it's reliability is questionable at best.
