Well looks like I was wrong, I searched youtube for gameplay footage of Paik before and after patch 1.2 and I found the max distance an enemy could be scanned is the same.
Paik tosses smoke and runs and and kills the oblivious highlighted players, and at that point I'm not sure if I'm playing BF or Apex Legends.
Then I watch the Pathfinder/Mackay grappling above me to impossible to reach firing positions and I'm pretty sure I'm playing Apex...😛
DICE TeamChanges to Paik’s EMG-X Scanner are now active to reduce its disruptive impact on gameplay flow:
Scan Range -> 25m
Spot Duration 0.85 -> 0.07s
This means Scanning now acts as a snapshot instead of a prolonged Spot, while also requiring you to be closer to players to Scan them.

You don't want to give her a soft love-tap with the nerf bat.
You want to take that nerf bat and club her into unconsciousness with it.
This is nowhere near enough of a nerf to get players to stop using this specialist's ability to completely disrupt gameplay.
Let's be honest here.....for the past two decades of gaming anyone who used something like this ability in a game was labelled as a cheat and perma-banned from whatever game they were playing. It has NO PLACE at all in a competitive multiplayer game.
The only other place you would regularly find players using Paik before Update 1.2 was on the central datacentre flag on Kaliedoscope. It was pretty much the only CQC area on all 7 release maps.
You now have a new map with a larger CQC area.
Was it really that hard to predict this was going to happen?
Players would be using Paik in the ship on Stranded even if you hadn't buffed her in update 1.2.

wallhacks have no place in any fps game, just replace her ability completely.
It only draw bad players to that class who undeservingly get kills in a cheap and pathetic way.

Oh an btw @Dice *snip* can we somehow change her ability so I can’t see through walls but still can somehow start to play her to t1 ? i refuse to play with cheats, just so you know
