DICE, please stop undeploying my bipod automatically

For instance, when I switch to casper's drone and then back to the ac42 (equipped with bipod), it becomes undeployed automatically! Please change this in next update.

  • Does the bipod deploy automatically when going prone or do you have to use the d pad or x if you are on PC?

stupidly I think you still have to hit x to deploy it. Does it even have a stat difference if it is deployed or not?

On console, it is deployed when you spawn or switch to the bipod attachment, which is great. But... then becomes undeployed every single time i use my drone!

yep, the bipod definitely makes a difference - there's no recoil/sway "accumulation" when equipped i.e. you get same recoil (continuous shooting) you would if you were to shoot a single bullet without bipod

@Metal_Daryl97 Sorry, I wasn't clear, I meant in standing. If you hit 'x' or whatever the button is on console you can see your guy deploy/undeploy the bipod. I'm wondering if there's ever a reason to have it undeployed if you have it equipped from the T menu

ohhh, also wondered about whether the bipod would negatively affect weapons stats when standing - should do some testing

You have to press a button to deploy it

But you don't have to be prone or near a ledge. It just unfolds it.

Then when you prone or go near a ledge it steadies the gun.

Having the bipod deployed or undeployed makes no difference in performance when not steadied on the ground or ledge.

If you change a weapon it undeploys the bipod and you have to deploy it again.

You have to do this every time you spawn.

This behaviour appears in no other Battlefield game. This behaviour was designed and implemented on purpose.
