we may have to consider this......
- edgecrusherO04 years agoSeasoned Ace@CascadiaSRL Sure seems like they've abandoned the game, especially with the reports that they've moved most of the team to the next title. I get that it's industry standard, but that's usually when the game you launched is in a pretty good state and not an unfinished dumpster fire.
It honestly feels like they're doing everything possible to bury this and hope that we all forget how terribly they treated the community.
And if it keeps up, I hope the next title sells like garbage as well. They don't deserve success if they're going to treat their community with this level of disrespect.- 4 years ago
Communication got stuck in a feedback loop
- edgecrusherO04 years agoSeasoned Ace@Noodlesocks What a worthless waste of time that's been so far. I kinda expected that DICE would engage in the thread in some back and forth, that they'd provide some periodic updates as the team continued to process feedback...but nah.
It's just fodder for their once a month, "Here's a really boring blog post that doesn't say a whole lot. See, we're communicating!" nonsense. It's grossly insufficient for a game with a dead community looking to bring back players in the hopes of making S1 a success.
Honestly, for being a "live-service" game it's literally anything but. And that's not even about the content, live-service games usually have a lot more engagement amongst the community. DICE has functionally zero engagement outside of fluff posts of "wow, so cool!" which means nothing and is a gross misread of the tone of the room.
