Battlefield 2042 is in shambles. A complete mess that was poorly developed and designed and rushed to release. It was a falsely advertised game that was all marketing and promises that fooled the community including myself. A major scam on EA and Dice's part that needs to be addressed now. They need to allow full refunds for this game. Countless bugs and missing features, most of which you wouldn't even find in a knock off brand game made out of a basement. Just embarrassing. Can't believe that EA is getting away with this. The majority of the player base is gone. Over 90% of pc players out and declining by the day. The audacity of EA and Dice to sit there and not act is astounding. Where is the "much needed" apologetic statement for the lies of the state of the game pre-release and currently? Where is the content? Where are the features? Why was it released in such a broken and unfinished state that will take who knows how long to repair? Why are they acting like a release and then fix later mentality is ok? There's no roadmap. The player base is gone. Major failure that they have yet to admit. By the time you actually get a feeling for the game, your already passed the "Great Game Guarantee" guidelines and aren't eligible for a refund which is not fair for people with busy schedules either. This game must be the exception. This is another Cyberpunk-like situation and everyone sees that except the ones in charge. At least with Cyberpunk they came out and did the right thing. EA must offer full refunds for the community and I for these reasons. We will only be satisfied once this happens. This was a literal scam and we won't tolerate any more.
This game's fundamental ideas and design decisions were completely reverse from what Battlefield is. Where did Battlefield's identity go? Creating a game trying cater to a wider audience by poorly copying other games ideas and creating a game that is more focused on monetization and cheesy one liners and skins instead of making a true BATTLEFIELD like 3/4/1, has got to be one of the dumbest decisions they have ever made. It's just sad. I fear for the Battlefield franchise. I fear that it will never be the same. I fear this might be the end.
