DICE aren't silent, they've been tweeting all kinds of rondom unrelated stuff during office hours all week long.

@Trokey66 I work for GE Aviation. I 100% get where you are coming from. We always get "they have an AOG(aircraft on ground) waiting for such and such part. We need to hurry up and build/ship it. Sorry, but we can only make it so fast if you want a quality part.

people need to remember DICE got a lot of feedback some better some not so much so they have this trove of information that accumilated over the holidays and into the new year... even the people responsible for the feedback evaluation worked 24/7 they would not even get close to ever reaching the end of it. so DICE needs a bit of time and who knows maybe they are discussing borad reworks for the future or an entire relaunch for teh future...
i never expected any solid communication from DICE for at least 2 weeks after their vacation...
i dislike it as much as the next person but this still is how things are atm and change sadly takes time....
i hate the mentality EA has.. release game in a disastrous state. Let’s take our sweet time to address all the problems. If only I could take this long to address problems at my job…. 🤨

@-s0-SDB Some problems do take some time to fix. It's not just click a button and it's fixed.
Don’t release a product unfinished as I wouldn’t leave a project unfinished. If I did, I wouldn’t charge my customer for my incompetence. If they paid for it already, I would refund them. I do understand there will be flaws and issues but not to this magnitude. Which steam has noticed and is refunding their customers.
@cso7777I would agree to an extent.
There were a lot of decisions made which hindered the progress of the game which were out of the Developers hands (and also the artists and QA). Lockdown happened and everyone had to share a reduced amount of testing devices remotely between each other. Then, the Game switched focus from BR to FPS which is one of the worst decisions you could make for a game part-though its development cycle. You never change the original design and vision to such an extent. Especially on this scale of project. On top of that, many of the Frostbite Engine developers had left before 2042 switched to a new version of the engine, leaving no experienced engine developers left to aid the switch over, which drained the project for a while. Then, nearer the end of development, a number of UI developers left for a different company and apparently the UI was under-scoped and understaffed.
Developers aren't just coders. Typically, as you move into massive companies, developers become specialised. So for example instead of programmer we'd have "vehicle technical specialist" or "UI scripter" or "Anti-Cheat engineer" yada yada yada. I guess everyone was affected and the process became incredibly inefficient.
Its very complex but I suspect the Game Design shift and the Engine version shift were the biggest killers. It's never a good idea to do either before starting development. They still need time to formulate what happened before Christmas. I suspect they've still got a lot of vacancies and a lot of people are still new there. Must be quite scary in a situation like this.I feel the excuses people give them is really just bs.
Did you see the weekly challenge skin?
Forget new content. What would be a good sign right now would be:
- additional scoreboard
- server browser
- better XP system, that promotes team work
- better spawns
- Global chat
- fix Vehicle physics
Is this what they call "Brutal expectations"? I dont think so. Instead, we get another toy story like woody skin for a specialist. Make these additions optional so that the forum police aka 2042 fan boys can turn them off in case they dont care about it. But these are things that would have me staying around til the next update. Simple. These are not unrealistic demands. Its ridiculous that i have to mention them for weeks on weeks. Getting so tired of writing the same old bs every week.

I don't think they care. They just got the money they wanted with their fortnitized version of BF. By now I'm sure they are just concentrate on looking for new players.
I have hurt them the only way I,or anyone else can-by NOT giving them my money.I am sorry you all lost your hard earned cash-but it cannot be said that you were not warned.
