@fixateliveDon't think it's a good idea. Battlefield games are mostly played on PC, so if they turn off crossplay by default, you won't find a match, in fact, you already can't find a match without crossplay on consoles. Even if you do, you'll play against bots.
@Jozso987 How is this true? PC players had dedicated servers in all other previous BF titles, console players had dedicated servers in all other previous BF titles. It was easy and quick (unless you were queued in a popular server) to find and get into a near full server. I am in Australia and there was not a whole lot servers for Oceania region, but could always find and enter a server quickly and easi
The reason there is no scoreboard in 2042 is because EA/Dice dont want people to think negatively by seeing a bad k/d and being at the bottom of the scoreboard, therefore not playing the game again. This theory should also apply to crossplay. With all the new xmas console players getting wrecked by sweaty PC players they wont want to play the game again.
Crossplay needs to be disabled by default for both PC and console with the ability to turn it on if you wish to do so. The addition of a server browser should be a no brainer really.
These two things (along with a lack of weapons and maps plus other bugs etc) are whats killing this game. 2042 has so much potential to be better than BF3 and BF4, but sadly its not and never will be.
