- @SKirkham1967A Apparently, only the Standard version will be on disc. Gold and Ultimate will be digital downloads.

Im Sure there will be Disc for all BF2042 Editions.. Standard Edition will have disc only. Gold & Ultimate Edition od BF2042 will have Disc + Code for those bonuses for that Edition you want to buy. 🙂

Depends on what everyone would like
Some people like the hard physical disk
Some like digital downloaded games
Or mix it up,thowe the problem with disks is after badly scratching em they might not work,then the person/consumer/user/player
Who ever would have too/2 buy/by a replacement disk or by/buy online digitally
Wow the world is going digital now days
Stream games/movies/ etc with media these days

Looks like the gold and ultimate editions will indeed only be digital downloads.

I wonder what kind of drive mechanic do the consoles use, I guess its not DVD from 15 years ago right.
I might guess they would tell no PC disk means no offline because lots of folks seem to be relying on unstable not forever (temporary) internet connection. And somehow being offline being too much of a privilege instead of a right to privacy.I have a DVD mechanic btw on my PC, I built it myself 🙂
