Tonight I was able to play AOW Discarded for the first time in 3 days.
This is just another example that MM just doesn't work.
When there are only 7 maps in the game I want to play them all in a rotation, not some maps 3 or 4 times in a row or some once in 3 days.
Rotation would help keep the maps fresher instead of getting bored with playing maps over and over.

As I just tried to see if any love left in the BF2042 game now after the sooo enthusiastic message from EA about the amazing updates they now have brought to us this week. And EA seem to have made me and others then taking up your desired slot on the Discarded map server. (yeah, there appear also to be only very few servers left now in total...)
Because all I got was repeated AOW games on the same single map DISCARDED. 3 matches in a row and nothing else. And every single round I was placed on the defending Russian team side.
OK of course, for the first time.
2nd time, questionable, but hey, why not then place me on the other side at least?
3rd time. And still on same team side. No, that madness has to stop!!!
So I quit to boot up the well functioning BF4 and having a blast instead from the get go!
Ability to quickly team up with mates VoIP in same 5-man squad, great scoreboard, etc etc etc.
And no running for 5 minutes to find an enemy either. 😂
What have those game designers and developers been thinking (drinking?, smoking?), when constructing this totally dysfunctional match-making functionality in BF2042....???
It is upsetting that they launch such to the market, despite our repeated feedback to them during dev phases.
And its even more upsetting that they have still done absolute nothing to rectify it now here still 3 months post launch.

This just sums up perfectly why MM is just so frustrating. I honestly can't see how they thought it was good idea to ditch the server browser for this.
I felt like I was playing on the same 3-4 maps every time in MM. One of the reasons I stopped playing. 5 times on the defending side, 5 times on side attacking in Breakthrough mode. I could play like this the same 3 maps for 5 hours.
Matchmaking in Conquest/Breakthrough/Rush and smaller game modes doesn't make sense compared to well thought back then Server Browser. At least I don`t play and farm on AI for the first 10 minutes in previous titles.

Yesterday was Orbital day played it a lot, it felt like I was back in the BETA again.
At least Orbital is a map that I don't mind playing on, unlike Hourglass which I really don't enjoy, doesn't feel like a BF map to me

As I also got a forced overdose of Orbital yesterday! 😀
Maybe EA only have one server left running now these days with the dwindling player population, so we all got to play whatever that server now was booted up with? 🤔
