Not a fan of the whole class identity lockdown. There are 4 loadout spots currently that if you want to you can modify to a class you want . Recently while playing rush , when we were pinned a message would go out , smoke, you then equip the smoke gl & nades , so you still had your specialist gadget but now the squad can smoke to help the push.
The class argument has always look to me as players having a issue how others play their game . I think focus more on the specialist gadget rebalancing than class forcing . But thats just my opinion.

This is exactly how I view this issue: why should people who don't even play the game have a say in how I play my Battlefield game? Maybe the class system can be optional for those who want it...but if someone wants to use Mackay to zipline to the top of a building and place a spawn beacon...they should be allowed to do that...why should they be limited in what they want to do?
This class system effectively lowers my interest in the current game, drastically...if weapons become restricted I can honestly say that Battlefield isn't for me anymore...and that would kill me because I absolutely love 2042.

@Majaurathat argument doesnt work. The same argument can be said for why should everyone else have to put up with your meta, because you cant play the game as a squad? Why cant the core game be Class based, when there is Portal for customised crazy free-for-all games? Thats exactly what custom servers have ALWAYS been for.

Great point.
They got it the wrong way round.
