Do whatever you want with 2042

But please Dice, with the next Battlefield iteration go back to what makes a Battlefield game because this isn't it.

We appreciate you trying to improve upon Battlefield, but trying to reinvent the whole formula has been disastrous. This has only accomplished alienating your loyal fanbase driving away more than 90% of your playbase within months, and they aren't returning

This is because no one asked for a fast paced Call of Duty/Hero shooter hybrid, but it's what we recieved and it looks like you won't be changing that anytime soon.

Like the game or not 2042 has been a complete dumpster fire, the majority of the players have completely given up and some have already boycotted the next Battlefield title.

I beg you, play the older Battlefield games and build from there. Do not go in the same direction you have taken 2042.

For my fellow Battlefield fans I truly hope you are having a good time within the game and out, but for myself 2042 is rotten to its core.

2042 is not Battlefield and your fanbase deserved better.

I will not pre order will wait for release and then if ok find cheapest way to purchase the game to give DICE/EA as little money as possible.

If past form is anything to go by then they will put the next Battlefield game on sale at a reduced price over the Christmas period following launch. This happened with Star Wars Battlefront II due to poor sales following the messy launch with the loot crate fiasco, and then with Battlefield 2042. I was one of the chumps who pre-ordered BF2042 so I will be waiting until the Christmas sales before buying any future title. At least that will allow time to see how it is received by critics and players.

FWIW I have mostly enjoyed BF2042, even though it has been very frustrating at times. I first played on PS4 and did most of my progress there, until I was able to buy a PS5. But I've found the next-gen version much worse than the old-gen, mainly because the maps are way too big and because of Crossplay (I have no beef with PC players, it just isn't a level playing field). But Patches 1.1 and 1.2 have broken the game for me because the hitreg has become much worse, I can't get kills no matter how many rounds I get into an enemy. An FPS game where you can't get kills because of the system is no fun at all.

PS5--I'm a casual and play for fun. I would highly suggest that any console player with the option to install the PS4 version do so and see if your numbers improve. No, the game certainly doesn't look or play as good, but you will get a more accurate assessment of how well you stack up against other players when you all are on equal footing. Crossplaying against PCers puts us at a disadvantage in this already badly executed game.

  • @AJ_ClickzWe went through the same with BFV, please do not just hope that the next game will be better if a present game cannot be finished properly.

There is also clearly a divide between what EA DICE considers good ideas and us
