I think they should be rarer and persist for a shorter time. What do you think?
Storms should never be a reason to lose a game or a node. Ive seen nodes about to be capped, and then a Tornado comes in and wipes the team out, only to lose the node.
Theyre cool the first time you see them, but annoying after a couple times.

That actually sounds like a whole new battlefield moment!
So we've gone from tornadoes are a waste of time and don't do anything to tornadoes winning games!
I think the fact that something like this can happen in 2042 is pretty amazing to be honest.
As for different weather I like my default weather setups to be blue skies and sunny, just like I do in the real world.
However I like the various different weather effects in 2042, the best in the series. Shame there's no snowfall in Breakaway though, just a mild wind blowing snow particles is the most I've noticed.
I hated the sandstorms in 1 and V though when driving a tank. I usually just parked the tank and waited for it to finish because it was too easy to get flanked by infantry with explosives.

Compared to especially BF1 (fog, sandstorms), it seems like the weather is working pretty fine in 2042. It mixes things up a little but doesn't impact game-play much.
The tornadoes are just a stupid gimmick that does nothing useful and ends up becoming annoying pretty quick. The UI 'glitching' is also totally unnecessary.
