Do you still have hope ?
Everything is in the title. Do you still have hope for the BF franchise and 2042 ? SPOILERS after a few pages of replies, seems common ground is, no more hope.

Unfortunately not.
We even have this proposal that would enable them to bring us all proper map rotations and persistent servers with basically zero effort on their end. We asked for a feedback on this at least and all we got is SILENCE.
So no, no hope anymore (even though we are still pushing for this to get implemented) if they do not even comment on such an easy way to make the life of all players better. Or rather implement it right away,
I do have hope for the game and am still looking forward to S1 when it comes out.
The odds are definitely stacked against DICE at this point.
Nope still has shocking spawn points!
Gadgets deploy when they feel like it still!
netcode abysmal still!
lack of vehicle balance still!
some players seemingly freeze still!
I die for no apparent reason still!
on and on and on and on
if this was any other product you would want your money back irrespective of how long you have used it!

Yep it's the SILENCE that is rapidly killing off BF2042 for me, and judging by the frustration vented daily on these forums I am not alone.
Not a single peep from anyone regarding your proposal, and there has never been any form of response to our daily requests for a Server Browser / Persistent servers, they have ignored all the various threads on the subject.
To me that just says one thing " THEY DON'T CARE" !!!
And you know it's only a matter of time until all the guys on this forum who have spent many hours giving feedback on ideas of how to change BF2042, say the same.....
"WE DON'T CARE EITHER".
You can only ignore your customer base for so long.
People eventually get bored having to beg for crumbs of information that are never forthcoming.
If there plan is to simply ignore us and hope we all go away then there plan will probably succeed..........this time.
But players have long memories and in the end it will be their loss. !
Short Answer to "Do I still have hope", not a lot no, and any that remains is being eroded daily by DICE's SILENCE. !!
@RayD_O1I honestly think they have no clue what to do or in some cases how to do it.
We got this tweet on Feb 2nd from Marcus Lehto: "Can't say much about what is happening, but can say that I'm glad to be working with lots of very talented devs at @EA_DICE, @RippleEffect, as well as my new unnamed Seattle studio, who genuinely care about @Battlefield."
His response after this patch was a snarky reply about him lying:
"That I love PvE? Not a lie."
This was considered a live service title and looked that way even after launch with weekly updates and fixes. That stopped a long time ago.
