Do you still have hope ?
Everything is in the title. Do you still have hope for the BF franchise and 2042 ? SPOILERS after a few pages of replies, seems common ground is, no more hope.

some players seemingly freeze still!

if this was any other product you would want your money back irrespective of how long you have used it!
The only hope is for the franchise to be picked up by another studio or for the entire IP to be acquired by another company.
For 2042, come on. It's already dead and has been for several months. There is not enough time to correct all the things to make this thing playable with replayability. A new map will be fun for a week or two, then what? Also, how many times would you get to play the new map using MM? You would be lucky to get it 1 in 8 matches if they only added a single map. Sometimes it takes me 12-15 rounds to hit every map once and that is very lucky.
They would have to address all the current concerns, offer several new maps, bring back several classics into AOW, add at least 2-3 new weapons per class, some new gadgets, new vehicles, and a fairly robust progression system. That is an entirely new game and it took them 2+ years to deliver what we got.

my only hope is that who ever made the decisions for 2042 ( especially the super hero specialist system ) are not there for the next BF game.

i haven't played 2042 in a week. i'm @ about 495 hours last time i looked. idk if i will go back. seriously thinking about going back to play Hunter: Call of the wild. i haven't played any of the expansions since silver ridge peaks so i have plenty of content waiting for me.
- @Psubond wow almost 500 hours? You are a seriously dedicated player. I thought I had a lot of time in the 300's. What rank are you S50-60ish? I would love for you to post a new thread with your top 5 things to fix that would make you keep playing or start playing again. We can't keep bleeding dedicated players.

I need them to do something to give me hope. All ea/dice have shown me is at best incompetence and at worst an apathetic approach to the game

I really feel like it is apathy at this point. The lack of any meaningful communication is proof of that.
I have hope my take out tonight will be great as long as door dash doesnt eat some of it again.
The game - Yes. But They gotta go hard on Season 1.

Absolutely agree. DICE as we knew it is GONE. We need another studio who actually cares about the future of the franchise to take it over.
