the difference between BF1 and BFV compared to 2042 is mainly the former both have a server-browser. like it or not a server browser lets you pick the map you want to play on top of both BF1 and BFV do not force you back into their flipping main menue every 25ish minutes and you have 0% chance of playing the same map repeatedly if you stay in a server, unlike 2042 where my personal record was 4 rounds of hourglass back to back..... needless to say i stopped playing several weeks ago and do not plan to waste anymore of my time here until the april patch maybe if i even want to return
Nobody liked it when they trialed it in BF5. It killed Battlefront 1 and 2 long before they should have died and 2042's iteration is DOA... So naturally Dice Sweden will double down instead of admit they were wrong about it.
Matchmaking is fine for RTS, MOBA and small scale shooters. It doesn't work for large scale games like Battlefield and Battlefront.
