nah. i like the bigger maps. And it isn't very fixable at all. Because the flag areas aregenerally at map focal points with set pieces on them. And you can play Breakthrough if you want a smaller map.
the key to enjoying big maps is learn where to spawn, stick to 1-2 flags for the round as a rule of thumb and use vehicles to cross longer distances. And embrace the downtime.
Learning where to spawn is knowing where the enemy is going and not overcrowding flag zones.
Stick to 1-2 flags creates your own small map and you play those flags and really you play the territory surrounding them to keep enemies out once you do take them over.
And using vehicles involves catching a ride, giving rides, and air dropping vehicles to yourself and squad.
I agree with you, maps are too big even for 128 players, so here is my tip, create a Portal server on small conquest, the maps is smaller and you can reduce the number of players as well. I did it, it was way better even more in terms of fluidity!

I like the map sizes but even with 128 players a lot of the time it seems empty, I'm thinking it's to do with the flags being made up of a main and two sub capture points.
If it was like it used to be with just the flag to capture then it would be carnage in a good way.
Also i reckon more transport vehicles like quads would be good, although the call in system is ok i guess.
- 4 years ago@Luuuron I like this, it would be nice as an option as a staple on the main game, AOW 128 large and Small at 64.
- 4 years ago@JIHADxJEEPER I agree. They need two modes. One Conquest 64p and another 128p. With differing sizes for both.
They are too big right now. Sometimes just a running sim.
