I like playing dozer he has the best chance of surviving, rockets grenades etc. but his shield is horrible it odes reflect bullets but it is very rare and bullets just fly through the shield while i am crouching and maybe his shield could get buffed or atleast get better. EDIT: am i the only one having a hard time doing kills with his shield?

@ARES2910It's not great, but the fact that he can take a shot from a tank says enough, he flinches when hit with something high-powered. The fact that NTW can do damage to a tank but not to his shield is hilarious to me.honestly, the biggest issue with Dozer is that the size of the maps are not great for using his shield as there are few tight corridors to really take advantage of it and not being shot from the other 3 directions.

@ARES2910 There are maps that favor Doziers ability. Manifest in B2, Kaliedescope on the tops of buildings and D1, Orbital in the underground between B1 and B2

Let us also understand that Favor means, good probability to get favorable events. It is not a guarantee. That being said, simply a shield punch should not be instadeath. It should deliver the same as melee, maybe +5, 10 at the most. To argue for Instashield death and nerf the drone is ridiculous.

@Padding_Ur_Stats and the top of cable lines on the Discarded ships is a favorite camping spot for Dozers as well, been killed many a time there by his shield bash.

Dozers shield is very effective, much more then Irish's deployable cover. He def doesn't need a buff. It's an instakill with a very large hit radias.

@ARES2910 I think the fact that you rarely see Dozer or even Irish deployed tells you what you need to know about how effective and survivable they are. If you Google best specialists of 2042, Dozer is rated one of the worst and Irish is actually rated one of the best. I think they both should be near the bottom. One of Dozer's biggest weaknesses is he can't shoot and use the shield at the same time.

He isnt supposed too. One or two Doziers are supposed to lead a push down a hallway like at Orbital in the tunnel between B1 and B2. That being said, I think a second shield that is smaller and has the ability for dozier to carry and operate a SMG would be good. Set him up almost like Gibby in Apex. Incoming damage from fire is reduced.
