EA doesn't seem to be keen on anti-cheat
The new season has not kept cheaters out; they are present in every game and are increasing in number as time goes by. From last season till now, not only familiar faces are still active in the game...

(As opposed to “we banned him as we can produce evidence of aimbotting, wallhacking, etc”.) Why I’m not surprised at hackers running riot in the gaming scene: the difficulty in collecting evidence.

@TheseusJason They don't have to provide any evidence. Just open the player's stat page, and see massive accuracy or HS rate with an automatic weapon - case closed.
If EA took cheating seriously, they could easily set up a system that would start recording you and forming a case for manual review. Then a person would open a file with your gameplay and see if you look sus.

I wouldn't say they don't care. It's more that cheating in their games isn't seen as a priority. They market the game, sell the game, update the game, then end the game. All while banning and removing cheaters. Then once the game is done they move on from it like a fatherless child

I reported many cheaters and all except one are still playing MONTHS after I reported them (and maybe the one just got bored and stopped playing and not even get banned).
I even report them again from time to time (every time I meet them in game). They are NOT getting banned. And they are 100% cheating, not just 'sus players'. - @ForumUser
No I didn't mean that. Because, I'm a reasonable man and I like to stick to facts. Facts that have been proven, people have been banned. But, with that being said cheaters only get banned, because EA/Dice have to ban them. So, when they ban them it's all just for show to make it look like they care. TBH: the mindset on EA/Dice side regarding cheaters is secondary to me. The important thing is that they BAN them to stop them interfering with my (our all) enjoyment of the game. We have to deal with so much BS in 2042 when it comes to game mechanics. Those things cannot be fixed anymore. But getting rid of the most obvious cheaters would be easy. - @ForumUser @UP_LordPlumber To be sure and clear: I’d like cheaters to be banned as much as you do. I shouldn’t be construed as though I’m trying to defend them by no stretch of the imagination.
Stats can be deceiving. As I posted earlier on the theme of stats for the purposes of determining cheating, mine show a 104% accuracy with the MCS-880 (500+ kills); 415 damage per minute on melee, equaling >4 kills per minute meleeing; and a HS% of ~80% on both the GOL and DXR-1 (~600 kills). An automatic heuristic system would likely have me banned. I highly doubt these stats to be accurate, and even if some of them might be close to reality I certainly have never cheated.
Flag someone upon suspicious play and start forming a case for manual review sounds a good way forward (manpower could be a factor). AI algorithms in the near (?) future seems optimal: server infrastructure dedicated to gameplay analysis (not just stats) and eject wrongdoers automatically upon forming a robust case. Human intervention only required in case of appeal. Obviously, the anti-cheat is not working, so what other reason does EA have to gain root to the innards of our computers?
Think that one over real hard.

I never said shotguns or bolt action rifles. I said "Automatic weapons"
Melee and shotguns operate on a different plain of damage calculation since a single pellet from a shotgun counts as 100% accuracy, so if all 8-9 pellets hit an enemy, that's counted as 800-900% accuracy.
Melee does 100 damage in an instant, so its dps is insanely high.
It once again goes to account flagging and automatic/manual ban.
If a player has over 40% accuracy with an AUTOMATIC weapon, that should be a temporary bad + account review.
Same for the headshot rate - over a certain threshold = review and ban. If HS rate is 70+ on automatic weapons = instant perma ban on IP and EA account.
Going back to your account. Opening your stats reveals 2 things:
1: Low KPM with a high headshot rate. That means you don't kill often, you take your time to make a shot. Hackers don't do that
2: 33% accuracy, very typical accuracy for a legit sniper player. A hacker would have close to 100% accuracy @TheseusJason
Read back to when I wrote about the stats: I also have >100% for the shotguns. That is 'normal' as for them, this is calculated on a per pellets.basis and just having 100% would actually reflect rather poor aim.
I wrote that you need to take into accont either SMGs (which stands for submachine guns, the first category on the left) and ARs (assault rifles). You cannot use the same statistics for other categories.I am an average player with 22-24% accuracy for said weapon categories with HS% of around 20 and approx 1.2 KPM. Good players in my clan have 24% accuracy and 24 HS% and 1.8 KPM.
VERY good players reach 28% accuracy and rarely more than 25% HS. Players with >30% HS are most likely cheaters. With 35% (and 200+ kills for any AR/SMG) you can be 100% certain that they are cheaters. That is not just 'evidence' -- that is what I would consider proof.
- @UP_LordPlumber @ForumUser Got it. You both meant specific stats for diff. categories: I took it as only examples for assessment across the board. This is how the logic would have failed. As such, sure, I’m definitely all for supporting that approach.
This one been raging for awhile. Stat check could easily identify this and autoban. But even if they didn't want to automate it entirely, it could at least flag for immediate review. There is no reason for this other than corporate greed.

Yeah. That is an obvious rage cheater. EA has let them play for over a week and they have almost 20 hours of playtime. It's almost certain there have been numerous reports.
Just imagine how many closet cheats are in the game using ESP/Wallhack and/or soft aimbot. Considering how EA lets this obvious nonsense go on for so long. EAC was better and the game feels signficantly less clean now.

I guess we can take this as proof that there is no anticheat active for BF2042, let alone a 'kernel level' anticheat. Why EA/Dice still claim that there is if such specimen are allowed on the battlefield is beyond me. Of course the anticheat works, and it is probably very effective against these free cheats that are available online, just look in the BF5 forum.
Not all, but many of them have or have had cheat programs installed, which EAAC has detect. There are examples, where they didn't get the answers to why the game didn't start in the official forum and then went to the cheat forum to ask the same question.
Then it is not difficult to figure out that when the supply is reduced, they look for other suppliers.
It is probably the rise of these cheaters everyone is seeing, cheaters who have advanced to better cheats.Because, who wants to believe in, that they will stop, just because a new AC has been installed.

The in-game anticheat might 'work' in a sense that it catches known and freely available cheats that only idiots would use. But it does NOT catch the commercially available cheats.
Reporting also does NOT work. As I wrote before: I reported and even re-reported several cheaters and they are STILL playing MONTH after filing the first report. I know Dice CMs here claim it works and even post guides to 'How to report a cheater' pages on their website, but my experience with the approx 10 cheaters that I am tracking and re-reporting every time I run accross them on the battlefield is proof to the contrary. @ForumUserwe need to return to running servers like in old days - where you were admin yourself. Just played BF5 underground 64 player map - private person hosted with rules - no shotgun no mmg - but most important no cheaters. Here the person that hosts the server and map - have the power to kick the cheater. This game was legit from start to end - and what a nice pleassant experience - this map and no cheat. Think BF2042 should be run the same way - vote kick - map votes and all the things we had before.
Very often when I report players I also say I did in common chat so person can see. They ask why and calls me all kinds of things. I explain why and very very often they leave. Would you leave if you did nothing wrong ?
Not sure how steam's VAC ban works - but that is a nasty penalty to get. Anyone know what penalty is here ? Just pop-up saying you are not allowed to play or are you ban'ed from game ? It needs to be a severe slap for it to work.It's almost like their afraid to do what needs to be done. They "EA/DICE" have been like this in all their past titles after BF4. I don't know what to say but it is aggravating to the utmost.
