❌ EA anticheat ☹️
✅ Easy Anti-Cheat 👍
Unfortunately, it's about controlling the narrative. The video was a third party covering a clear case of self-incrimination by the one who made the video publicly available and even later claimed attribution.
Forum stuff aside. The whole content creation scene is getting more infected. And these sycophant viewers (many of whom are closet cheats themselves) aren't doing the community any favors. We all know that marketing, money, and politics are involved here, too.
The anti-cheat works, but maybe not in the way that ACs did in the early 2000s, when you could really call it that, cheaters were few.
Today it is a completely different situation, where the internet is flooded with sites selling cheats of various kinds. The range is not limited to software cheats and PC anymore.
New hardware is constantly coming out just for pure cheating and getting advantages in games, and this for both PC and consoles, why is that? Because there is a huge demand for these products.
You can say that, the anticheat's role has become a bit of the reverse. It is no longer there to clean out the cheats, because that is an impossible task with a constantly growing pool of cheaters.
The anti-cheat is more there to try to keep the small crowd that doesn't cheat, and clear out just enough that you won't leave the game for good.
And it works, just check the threads about how many people are looking forward to a BF7. Why do you think all this will change in the next game?
Well, by the way, it will. But only for the worse.

What's the point in EA banning someone's account if they are caught cheating? They'll just create another. As recent examples have shown. So many helo and jet cheats right now. Don't they ban based on hardware hashes any more?
- Col_Larsen2 years agoNew Ace@MADMAC50K ban account is way too weak - agree on the hw ban - that is something that works ! I do know that its a constant race - cheats vs anticheat and takes a lot of manpower. Reason why when they do catch them - penalty should be severe !

Just played a match on the new map. This guy was using an AR. I really don't think that EA is issuing any bans at all. It's beyond pathetic.

If you check online, they seem to ban HWID. This method works just as effectively as the anti-cheat, or not well at all, if you say so.
These addicts, who must boost their ego every day will not stop playing just because they happen to get banned.
No, as with any addict, they always trying to find a solution to how they can continue to cheat, or as in this case, the addiction to boost egos, because that's what it's really about.
And today it's not hard to find these "dopamine" dealers" online, who provide them with what they want .
I mean, this got out of hand a long time ago, and it's easy to draw parallels to the casino industry here. Where the gaming companies indirectly, with their ineffective anti-cheats, benefit from something that should really be classified as an addiction.I believe powerful AI is the only way to get rid of the worst cheaters, but don't think the technology is developed enough to work commercially yet, as it would probably ban so hard, that only us in this thread, would be the only ones who would be happy about it.

Some Streamers accept donations on their YouTube channel and then use the money to pay for their cheat subscriptions.

Reported this guy when he was at about 60hours of gameplay, now he has 89 hours, still cheating the [Edit: swearing removed] out of BF2042, EA doesn't do anything right now...

Dedicated Servers with administrators and in less than 2 weeks every cheater have no server to join.
- Hudson15312 years agoSeasoned Ace@MADMAC50K You are correct they just get a new username and keep going.
We have had a new one pop up over the last 3 days same person just changed their name and tbh it’s the first time I’ve come across a girl using cheats 😂😂 - Man_iLoveFishing2 years agoSeasoned Ace
Btw, that youtube video contained some of "faked" users. And problem is, EA is banning for trash talking, not for cheating. Or in better perspective: Trash talking will get you faster banned than cheating. :/
Edit: I do understand that its hard to spot esp, but tanks turrets going 90 degrees and obvious headshots rate still doesn't seem to ban ppl. So far what ive reported, havent seen any confirmation of user getting banned. Also i have proof that there are offensive named that got reported and get message that " this time we did not take any actions."
- 2 years ago@Man_iLoveFishing Exactly, spot on!
My account also banned cause i pointed out obvious cheaters ingame (a squad with same clantag, all s999, yup i file a report). EA told me it was "hateful comments", I dont mind, but bear in mind that EA obviously seems to ban highlightning of suspect cheaters instead of taking time to investigate thoose ppl. Another amazing thiong EA do is to ban ur account from ALL game u have bought historically, in my case BF4, BF1, BFV above BF 2042, not sure if thats legally correct in EU, i will look further into that matter i guess, they might had hide some legal text mumbojumbo thou. - 2 years ago
Yes, from all owned (bought) games.
Just checked EAs "user agreement", they practically own u, the games (even historically).
But since i live in EU, some mumbojumbo dont seems to be fully Applicable here, (dont dare say what yet) 🙂
Just to clearify, i couldnt care less if banned at 2042 for obvious reason, but that EA ban u from other bought games... hmmm.
