EA makes money, the players need a good game
This is no hate letter, just a message for the CEO's at EA. I still think this game can have a huge potential in getting more happy players and getting more revenue for EA themselfs. The thing is. EA is a company that makes money. The guys at the top of EA are not thinking about games being fun or joyable. They just think: "How can we make as much money out of this title "Battlefield"". And that is something every company tries to strafe for and that's their good right. They took a lot of money from the pre orders, but their goal was assumabily to sell a lot more of in game content. But at this point they did not succeed in that.
I think the guys at the top need to get the message that Battlefield is a huge title with a huge potential that can make them a lot more money. If they just listen more to the community. At this point it makes me a little nervous that we hear nothing from EA/ DICE. It can go both ways in my opinion. Or they are working at a master plan in which both parties win (the players and EA). Or this means they gave up and going to put their effort in other projects. And I think that last one is a loss for both EA and the players. For EA it means bad PR and money losses and for the players a joyable battlefield game.
Just listen to the community, make the changes and we all win! More money, more joy. Intergrate the community into the development of the game.
And as a extra note. I think the design makers totally missed the type of target audience. I think the most of the Battlefield fans are older 30/40. They almnost grow up with it. But that's something I think that went wrong in some design decisions. I sometimes believe that the hate has something to do with that.
