People may want some changes but the core of the game held true to its form and has a great amount of future potential yet to be delved into. But, its future is bright because of holding to what makes the game great (i.e. being a spiritual successor to the SWAT series). EA/DICE on the other hand chased a trend they were no where near competent enough to compete in and are now burned by that since the core vision was not Battlefield.
Ready or not is not BF's competition. Heck BF2042 all time peak is 5x more than Ready or Not so they are not in the same league. It is Halo and CoD, so the challenge is to keep up with their releases since that is where the core business is. As these companies compete on the player base by getting out "first" the sacrifice is quality, CoD is getting the same criticism as well.
You want to stop the trend, then do it with your wallet. Have people stop preording, it is really unnecessary nowadays. That will curb companies from racing to launch something.

@VBALL_MVPMy response has nothing to do with competition nor the number of people playing. They want to know why people are taking a crap on them at every turn, it is that they failed to stay true to what made Battlefield great. How is this a surprise? They had a bad launch for BF3, BF4, BFH, BFV.....you can argue that they have stayed true.
