Earlier beta testing

Well, D2R shows how important a earlier beta access can be... so EA/DICE wouldn't it make more sense to bring the beta testing forward?

@xxxC🤭lBr33zExxx I would agree to an extent. The point of open betas and stress tests is not really about the game or mechanics, but the servers, matchmaking etc. Which they would gain a lot of information for (since this is an online game).

@Boba_Brett711 Well i have read stuff regarding performance, which seems to be bad in some cases. But generally speaking: Time. Earlier access more time to fix stuff.

@Nevtox I assume you mean Diablo 2 Remastered? That game is only a month away from launch basically, so it's not a lot different than EA waiting until next month for a BF2042 beta.

Overall I agree though. If the idea is to actually get feedback in time to truly impact the game, they should have had a beta a few months ago. It used to be betas would take place well before launch. Now? Betas are essentially demos.

One thing is certain...if the beta has serious issues next month, don't expect it to be fixed by launch. lol

I have yet to see one of these betas show up a month before launch and not end up being the same at launch.

Beta tests these days are for PR there are no changes they going to be made. Outside maybe gun balance the core game is locked in.
