Yep, seen that argument more than a few times when referencing the helo's stomping all over infantry, I don't know if @Man_iLoveFishing was the one saying that but yeah, it's definitely been thrown out there a lot.

Here's me on Xbox wondering why I'm so bad hitting the moving choppers with the TOR tank.
Am I just bad at it or is this a PC thing?
I also have issues lining up the first shot against ground vehicles, the centre of the reticle doesn't appear to be where the laser actually hits.
I should probably practice more in solo.

I would definitely mess around with it in solo first, it isn't the easiest thing to get the hang of.
I had a tough time "timing" my shots when I first started using due the "charge up" time, it got a little easier to use after figuring it out, but like I said I don't find it to be very effective and would opt for a standard MBT over TOR.

At really far distances the server will only update your client at very low frequency. So, unless the enemy is flying without change of velocity or vector it will be very difficult to track and hit. It will appear to just bounce around or teleport. Especially true if you or the pilot's connection is jittery. Gravity still affect the projectile. Near 300m it's significant. You do have to account for drop and also lead the moving target accordingly.

So i had a play with it in solo again and it was easy to hit AI choppers.
However playing in an actual game with the poor netcode and inherent lag and pilots who actually move about a lot is a whole different story!
I'll leave it for the skilled TOR players, I'll stick to my trusty MBTs.

the TOR nailing aircraft on the enemy spawn is a lot more about the map design and the spawn design than the TOR itself.
Same goes for the lack of an automated C-RAM protecting the spawn from enemy camping aircraft
- Psubond3 years agoLegend@UP_Hawxxeye Just another reason we need to go back to bf4 vehicle spawns

@Man_iLoveFishingCan you post the one without the cuts and edits? I make a ton of aircraft hits with TOR tank too. But I also miss sometimes and don't have cool beats behind my gameplay.
- Man_iLoveFishing3 years agoSeasoned Ace@DigitalHype I don't have full games any more, these were from 3 rounds.

TOR has a 45 degree vertical angle at most, if you are being sniped by one:
- Go high
- Fly to it
- Go down
- Blast it with missiles
- Man_iLoveFishing3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Ice_ on flat surface yes. But on a small bump it has?

- AOD_CapStar3622 years agoSeasoned Ace@Psubond literally every prior version of BF before BF5 used that method.
You spawned on the ground or out of visual range for helis and jets. would be the most simplistic fix .
