It's not just the Asian region that's affected.
I am on the US West Coast and it's been having player retention issues for a while now.
I have to wait several minutes on the "Waiting for more players to join" screen just to end up in a match with mostly bots and a handful of players. I am talking about the two, main game modes. Portal's already dead at this point in my region. This thing's going to be completely dead very soon due to the fact that it has an awful matchmaking/lobby system instead of a proper server browser.

Yeah I totally agree with you. The game is dying and as you say it's not being helped by the awful matchmaking / lobby system instead of a proper server browser / server system.

- @RayD_O1 Same thing today after the update. But the player count is higher since everyone want to try out the new updates so I hope. I am get on earlier. I know they added to the wait screen how many players it’s waiting for. Does not help our situation. But lied to by dice or EA about playing with ai untill players arrive.

- @RayD_O1 I’m able to get into a match at This time. Not sure if it’s because if high player count or they fixed MM. but we will see.

We still need to push for MM to be replaced so we can get map rotation and not get dumped to the lobby after every round etc.....
