We're fairly patient, sometimes we try cross play, sometimes try other modes (which we don't really enjoy as much) or we see if we can find a server on the portal (normally without much success).
For both of us it feels like a degradation of the whole experience ☹️. We never had a problem in any previous BF all the way back to 1942 - so it really is a bit of a shame to encounter these kind of issues this time around!
We see the same user names coming and going most evenings so we always assume we aren't the only ones in this position.

We don’t really like crossplay because keyboard/mouse always felt very advantageous, if there was a console only crossplay option that would be great, but unfortunately there isn’t.
We’re a bit limited at the moment. We stick with modes we like less or we try our luck in the portal. It’s very much hit or miss. 😔
