Forum Discussion
I already have posted it on my new thread one hour ago (the one I linked here). But you are free to repost it to 'your' other 4 threads if you like.
I am almost certain that the new thread will be read, but I must confess I am not so sure of new posts to the older threads. The first post there would most likely have been read as well of course, but keeping them alive artificially would only cause them to be ignored (even IF valuable new and unique thoughts pop up there).
They KNOW that we need a replacement of the process of MM for every round. And that they eventually have to fix that. My proposal just makes clear that they could easily do that now (I must confess that I don't understand why they did not come up with that on their own). And to me personally, their response (or lack thereof) will decide my future with my interaction in the forums and the BF franchise as a whole.

When thinking about QoL updates, how could anyone think that a scoreboard was a bigger need than a Server Browser?
Someone also thought that taking time/resources to build the EOR Screen with the ridiculous sayings was more important than a SB. Wild times. - RayD_O13 years agoHero
As I said I will continue to keep the 4 threads alive.
A lot of players took a lot of time to write all those posts so I will keep them visible rather than have them conveniently forgotten about by DICE when they slip down the forum.
They can run concurrently with your thread and hopefully DICE will eventually listen and get it sorted. !

I would definitely urge them to put the necessary resources needed into removing them asap. 😬

@DuaneDibbleyOh I see that, I thought you mentioned posting it on Monday, that's why I suggested the above.Yes, I thought about NOT spending my weekend here and wanted to do that on Monday. At work I often have downtime of approx 45 minutes when doing large scale changes to our code base, waiting for a full recompile and running all unit tests. Usually I would do code reviews for other developers then, but because last week many of us took a few days off (there is 'carneval holiday(s)' in Germany), I had some time to post here. But as most colleagues are back next week, those downtime periods will be filled and I will only be able to post in the evening anyway.
Therefore I posted my proposal today. If you want, I can also link your threads there directly by adding a PS to my proposal. But I honestly believe that this concrete one proposal that can easily be done should be addressed first (not because it is 'mine', but because it is so easy to implement and would provide such a big benefit for all players). And if they neither do it soon or at least respond with a good reason why they don't, then we know how honest this 'We care and are working with full force on making this a good game' really was.

Feel free to link these main 4 threads to the proposal, anything that adds more weight / support can't do any harm can it. !

Here's why you wont get a server browser.
1. Scoreboard alone has taken several months. A browser is probably more involved than a scoreboard, so you can probably forget about it.
2. Instead of knowing where their barebones maps need cover, they have to ask the community to figure it out for them. Again, a browser is probably even more involved so that doesnt bode well.
3. Having a browser of all active servers exposes the low player counts that they've never admitted to nor spoken about. If theres 4k active players on PC (2k steam 2k origin)( and you install a server browser with crossplay off, 4k / 128 = 31 games running concurrently for 150 countries.
Now if you consider that hypothetical ISNT reality, and those 4k-ish players are divided amongst 64, 128, conquest, breakthrough, and the 2 active portal servers (LMFAO) at any given time, it looks a lot worse. Makes for about 7 active games per mode.
This is all with crossplay off but yeah, a server browser effectively exposes the evidence they probably quietly deny and hope to never have to speak to.

@M0istGamerI hear what you are saying and you may well be proved right, only time will tell.
In the meantime we will keep pushing DICE to implement our request, or at least to get an answer as to why not.
