I totally understand and like you I also just wish for all players to be able to play the game as and when they decide.
MM is currently hindering players and causing unnecessary frustration.
DICE could you please implement the @DuaneDibbley proposal asap as it is something you should be able to do relatively easily.

You should also make sure you take whatever steps are necessary to ensure that all the guys who currently are unable to join matches get sorted.
Then further down the line implement the full blown Server Browser / Persistent servers we were used to in previous battlefields.
