We are very honored to hear your wise opinion.
Yes, DICE says there should be transport planes.
But I think it's too easy to undermine these days.
If DICE's words are true, I think transport aircraft should evolve, not weaken.
I think what you're proposing is just an evolution, not a weakening.
First of all, this is my wild guess.
I remember talking at BF2042 that vehicles were an important part of the collaboration.
Condor/Hind is therefore specifically designed for attack.
This is because players often want an easy-to-understand strength.
Especially for new players.
However, unfortunately, the only name that matched the world view was "transport aircraft", so it may have been named like this.
I know there is a hidden strength on the battlefield that is not obvious strength.
I think that's exactly what you suggested.
However, it requires too many modifications.
If you think more realistically, you can think of changing the name of "Transport" to "Aerial Fortress".
At this time, you should increase the respawn time and reduce the number.
If it evolves into a transport plane
1. Weapons are light weapons and defensive stuff like EMP/smoke
2. Added spawn seat (Seat that forces you to exit the vehicle at the same time as spawning. In that case, it would be interesting to give some armor)
3. Increased mobility
I think that etc. is necessary.
I think that repair crews should be left as they are.
Because if you lose the means of attack, you need to increase your survivability.

100% this.
Though I have enjoyed reading the excellent replies that perfectly describe how broken the Hind and Condor are.
My 2 cents.
All they really need to do is REMOVE the cannons and all of the complaints will disappear.
But some people at Dice are too 'proud' to admit they royally messed up with the transport choppers so instead they are playing their fiddles while Rome burns.

After reading all your comments, I still don't understand, so I asked a question.
Is the Condor/Hind 50mm over-equipped because it's called a "transport"?
Or is it excessive as a game character?
If the name "transport" is a problem, it's easy to deal with.
If it's overkill for game characters, don't forget that it's a fully cooperative platform for two or three players. I think it makes sense to have the same platform to attack them, or the same number of infantry that work together correctly to deal with them.
(I think it's reasonable to have 3 or more soldiers working together to limit the movement of a platform that works with 3 people.) - DigitalHype4 years agoSeasoned Ace

(I think it's reasonable to have 3 or more soldiers working together to limit the movement of a platform that works with 3 people.)You continue to repeat this. Its not that simple in terms of balance. The 3 soldiers in your aircraft are under significantly less threat vs. the 3 on the ground while still being able to deal massive amount of damage, kills, and helping the objective. The soldiers (and its often takes more than 3 for a good pilot) are completely out of the game and almost 100% focused on trying to take out your aircraft and defend against it playing peek-a-boo.
DICE is trying to resolve this power imbalance by reducing the damage output potential of the air. I think they should have focused more on decreasing the heli's defensives (flare CD's, HP, etc.). Their approach does very little to increase the ability for infantry to defend and defeat the threat. It just slightly reduces the total damage output.I think DICE is counting on the buff to wildcat. But that is problematic because it shares a cooldown with other attack vehicles.

I am happy to receive an intelligent explanation.
You're right, it would be difficult to shoot down a condor/Hind piloted by an ace pilot, even if infantry cooperated.
Sorry for repeating myself, but I totally agree with this.
But what are allied condors/Hinds and fighters doing then?
I think it's unhealthy to be in a situation where infantry alone is required to destroy weapons.
What I want to say is that I want you to think about the game balance as an American team and a Russian team, not just infantry.
Weapon respawn time is currently around 2 minutes.
Even if the allied air force were wiped out once, the soldiers on the ground would have to keep the enemy air force in check for 3 minutes and reinforcements would come.
(Unless your allies are indifferent or incompetent...)
If an enemy's killstreak continues, is it really just that the enemy is too strong? - 4 years ago
Just let it go.
We all know he's wrong.
It's like someone recently invented an AI that trolls.
Stop giving him forum XP (let this be the last).
Kap.
EDIT (so I don't give more XP with a new post) : The last couple of posts just don't add up.
Suddenly the translator has allowed him to speak perfect English with excellent syntax and punctuation that a PhD in Literature would be proud of.
You just gave the game away by trying too hard.
"We are honoured to receive your feedback" ???
The hive-mind has spoken.
Holy crap.....it's SkyNet!

I don't know if it's because of my poor reading comprehension or because of the performance of the translation software, but I'm sorry to have taken everyone's time.
I don't think my theory is absolutely correct either.
That's why I'm so honored to receive a counter-argument.
However, as of now, no one has come out who can deny my theory in a logically convincing way.
Of course, I was able to get a good sense of everyone's frustration with the Air Force.
Here's what I think:
1. Condor/Hind was originally designed as an "aerial fortress" specializing in attacks (my own speculation)
2. If the condor/hind is not suitable for the name of transport, it is more cost effective to simply change the name.
3. Originally, it is rational for Air Forces to fight among Air Forces. Also in terms of game design.
4. The only thing the infantrymen can do against the air force is to keep them in check and buy time. Because it is the role of the Allied Air Force to finish them off.
5. If multiple players are to check the weapons that cooperate, it is reasonable to need a similar number of infantry.
Even so, an allied vehicle should do the final blow.
I would be honored to receive an opinion that intellectually denies these. - 4 years ago
oh yeah this is definitely a troll thread 😆

We are honored to receive your feedback.
I'm really sorry, but I often don't understand the irony when it comes to translation software.
I don't mind if it becomes abusive, so it would be helpful if you could express it straight.
I think a lot of the improvements you suggested at the beginning are great.
I thought that condor/Hind could evolve into a transport plane if all of your ideas were realized. - Psubond4 years agoLegend

2) If they are going to be attack aircraft then remove the passenger seats and put them in the attack vehicle category
- Zhukov2114 years agoSeasoned Ace
@Tank2042ManExactly! Remove the nose cannon and replace it with 6 smoke canister dischargers that the pilot can activate when dropping off troops. The smoke would lay down a nice smoke screen for offloading assaulters. If transporting troops is your primary goal how is this NOT a winning formula?
Turn that seat into a 3rd passenger seat but disable the ability to use repair tool in that 3rd seat as 3 repair tools would be super OP.Whatever is done, Hind/Condor total health and durability are still insanely high. Too high! When transport aircraft are more durable and more resilient than Main Battle Tanks, you have a serious design flaw and the resulting imbalances are inevitable.
DICE is too proud to admit this. Bringing Hind/Condor in line with the successful formula of traditional Battlefield transports would be admitting that the 2042 vehicle formula was/is flawed. It’s more about their pride and less about fixing the damned game.
- UP_Hawxxeye4 years agoLegend
@Zhukov211An infinite version of the new smoke launcher added on the nose cannon instead of the current setup would be freaking brilliant!!!!
It would also be blinding enemy tanks etc. It would solve a lot of bottlenecks.
How did I never thought of that?!!?
