Experience and impressions of some of the vehicles in 2042
After the 6.0 update, the tank did become a lot more flexible, but it seems to be a bit too flexible. The huge inertia and recoil caused by over-agility made the tank difficult to control, and the third-person aiming was not very accurate. It's really bad that I often can't aim in first person in the middle of a very intense engagement zone because of the camera shake and the smoke from firing guns, and the third person doesn't allow me to get a kill.
The tank experience in 2042 is completely different from what I used to in Battlefield 2, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5, and I don't feel like I'm driving a tank.
Then there's about EBAA Wildcat and M5C Usain Bolt. I have to say that the team is relatively new to the design of multifunctional infantry fighting vehicles and small vehicles, but they obviously didn't think about where they should be in the field environment. Wildcats is really comprehensive. In the earliest days, she had a 30mm twin gun, a 40mm cannon and a 57mm gun, which corresponded to anti-aircraft, anti-infantry and anti-vehicle respectively, and the earliest 57mm gun was very strong. But after balancing, the weakness of the Wildcat is reflected, especially after the addition of the 35mm twins cannon loses the 57mm. On the one hand, she is very comprehensive and can hit any unit, but at the same time, she is very weak and cannot effectively target any unit. In terms of air defense, the firepower is slightly weaker, the elevation angle is insufficient, and it only relies on ultra-long-range AA shells to counteract, and in the face of the Pro pilot, it is a walking iron coffin. The trajectory deviation of the 30mm cannon is large, the rate of fire and endurance of the 40mm cannon are too poor, and its damage data is not qualified as the main weapon at all, the 35mm damage and trajectory are fine, but the bullet velocity is too low, and the lack of shell splashing effect will only be threatened by infantry in high-rise buildings or multi-container environments. By the way, it's up to your teammates to fight heavy vehicles, so there's not much to say. The last thing to say is her maneuver. Wildcat's start is too slow, and it's easy to be approached by Mackay and Sundance who carry the C5, so it can't get too close to the battle line. However, it is impossible to form an effective strike on the aircraft at a long distance, and it is easy to be beaten to death by empty loads without infantry cover if it walks alone. If you go to the middle line, it is difficult to keep wandering and shooting with too much antitank firepower and the Wildcat's own weak maneuverability and firepower. Most of her weapons require accurate shooting, and her slow start and fast top speed mean that she must move at high speed to hit enemies without being sneak attacked.
As for the M5C, it's simple. DICE didn't know where to put it, so they just drop it in the ground transportation vehicle slot, do you think Bolt has any transportation function? I don't know how many players have complained about how uncomfortable it would be to see Bolt in Breakthrough.
Finally, I think Battlefield 2042 is completely inferior to Battlefield 5 in terms of the design of ground vehicles, including damage mechanics, sounds, visuals, stats, functions, and environmental balance. Of course, probably because they think that the infantry is more important than everything. The infantry experience in 2042 is indeed better than the others, although it has now been completely destroyed by the hackers. But at least it's much better than a ground vehicle.
