Faction Cosmetics
Faction specific cosmetics should have been included from the start and should be included in future updates (for free of course). Every skin included in the game should have been introduced with two...
I know that for some this is not the main point of discussion, but I think this should be a good point of discussion. The main mistake has been not having specialists tied to specific factions from the start, or simply there should have been an alter ego of the same specialist with same skill and abilities but with different appearance. Hope someone else will enjoy the conversation.😉
I've never had a problem spotting friend from foe in this game, but yes, having one set of characters used by both teams is ridiculous. I can be playing as Boris, get shot by Boris and revived by another Boris. It's stupid.
BF5 had the right idea, if DICE insist on using named characters, then at least create a set for each side. Personally I'd prefer to go back to the anonymous soldier in BF 3 & 4 eras and be free to customise their outfit and loadout depending on their class.
I don't need to be playing as a character with a pointless back story, the person I'm playing as on screen is surely supposed to be an avatar representing ME?
In which case, give us a simple face editor, a couple of standard body types for male and female and let us kit them out how we want. That way you will get unique soldiers on both sides, identified by their faction specific outfits.

100% this. 👍

I think that's a perfect balance. Loose customization options, although I could see that causing unnecessary resource utilization if it is trying to render too many unique faces in a match with 128 players [for example]. But like you said, spotting a friend or foe is rarely an issue when the opponent basically has a red light on them and your team has a blue light [or whatever]. But it's weird to imagine running around like it's a laser-tag match with lights on if that makes sense.
@ABC-Warrior-realTotally agree. I think we will never get an in-depth customization like Insurgency or WW3, but at least having different sets for each class within a faction to which you can apply different universal camos, should be the right way.
BFV was in the right direction having the ability to swap legs torso and head at least (maybe the look wasn't too WW2 for our tastes).
I think they tried too much to follow COD (which at least has two separate factions' operators) and APEX, but that's another topic and we all agree on it.
Hopefully we get back to the BF roots but with improved customization and stay faithful to the class system appearance.
If they really have/want to monetize (I think that is something will keep coming), they should create unique sets, specific to each class, that allows you to fully customize accessories and parts with camos (of course existing camos, unique camos and definitely not purple or bright pinks 🙂).
