@Zhukov211I just played a few rounds this evening and was using the 50mm in a condor for about 10 minutes. It is massively less powerful than it was before. It would take 3-4 hits to take down a target, compared to the 1-2 it was before. Between that and the significantly slower shooting it is a pretty large nerf.
With that said, I agree that it would be beneficial to just have the two miniguns, but I can't honestly imagine if the gun stays in the game, it being much less effective. It hardly did any damage to vehicles either.
What do you mean by "it would take 3-4 hits to take down a target"? They made no change to the dmg :
MV38-Condor and Mi-240 Super Hind - 50mm Cannon Pod
- Now fires single shots
- Rate of Fire reduced from 110 -> 40
- Longer replenish delay to fit the new slower rate of fire
I got 1 shoot by the condor after the patch so I still think it's OP.
I've said it months ago, the transport aircrafts should not have anything than minigun pods on them. Fire suppression so they can cover the infantry nothing more nothing less.
You can't drop players to a point because of a wildcat / heli harassing you? Well tough luck, call for support, this is what BF means not give the transport the capability of a tank so it can be an all in 1 vehicle and have the audacity to call it a "transport" DICE.
@OzzLinkWere you low HP? Was it a direct hit? A direct hit is always a 1 shot kill. As it should be imo, it's not easy to land a direct hit unless the vehicle is stable.

Full HP. One example would be: just spawend on the point and *BOOM* insta death. The transports should not be able to do this, it is stupid and not balanced, and it shows the lack of understanding of how the game works from the dev team.
- Anobix4 years agoSeasoned Ace@OzzLink I have yet to, after the patch, one-shot anyone with the 50mm in the condor/hind. Maybe something exploded around you/equipment/etc at the same time? Maybe the damage drop off is larger for splash damage now, but I definitely felt that I wasn't taking nearly as much damage when one was swinging around hitting me when I was on-foot.
But I can see, if it basically amounted to be a direct-hit/headshot that a 50mm would be a kill.
Either way, I wasn't able to easily communicate with the pilot to test out the damage modeling, but it sure felt like everything took more shots than it did before, whether the patch notes mark it as such or not.- Adamonic4 years agoLegend
The problem comes up when the defenders don't have an aircraft when the attackers do. That alone is unbalanced.
