@Fringerunner @TTZ_Dipsy While there's not much we can do about it on the forums, there's not much anything can be fixed on the forums. I think this thread is mainly bringing attention to a major issue in the game. I think it's good to talk about publicly to have other people share their experiences also. Since if someone just sends a message to EA for them to help, there's not much response most of the time and it can feel isolating and frustrating. EA is pretty poor with customer service based on my experience before.
If it is common software causing people to be banned, then this is an even greater reason to have this thread. For these issues to be fixed. They shouldn't alienate people without reason just for using overlay software. They should work with the people having the problems to fix these issues. That's what good developers do. But instead, they don't reply and lock threads. Which of course, can cause more frustration and not help fix the overlying issue.
@DeathSoldier11 For what it's worth i agree, and as long as we keep it civil then it won't (probably) get locked.
However, there's a difference between "i'm innocent" and "because these can cause false positives it means all cases are".
The recommendation to turn to account management is because they do know the difference and will probably even err on the side of caution if they're not 100% sure something shady is going on and let you off.
As for debating what software can or can't lead to false positives, that's almost a pointless debate.
If it interacts with your monitor output either directly or indirectly, it's a potential vector, hence why talking to account management is a much better use of time than posting about it here.
That being said, some might be genuinely unaware of why it's so damn tricky to play catch-up with the botters for anti-cheat software so in that sense the thread might be informative.
For software advice though, the best advice is still "don't use cheat suites" and don't be surprised if you ignore that advice one day your account just gets nuked, no matter if you used freeware or a $1500 a month "guaranteed" zero risk solution.
The only guarantee is that if you do get caught, you better be ok with losing parts or all of your account.
And again, for those that genuinely just got hit with a false positive, talk to the account management team.
