False positive bans
I just got a false positive banned from BF2042 this morning, while I was not even home... how is this even possible? I guess its rip my ultimate edition. I believe another user @Gryphonv got the sa...

@wettshrt-Theres no such thing as a "False Ban"..Just face it. Your most likely using a program that is used to mod games...ie..Overwolf or something similar. The anticheat will pick up those programs and ban you for them being on your system. You dont even have to be using it.
If people would actually read ToS they would know that modding games is a no-no. Unless the game itself has the feature built into it...ie Fallout.
Your modding or using a glitch.You got banned. Its not a false ban. Its a legit one.

Right so there is software you can download/use to cheat with but even though you're not using it specifically for cheating on BF it can still get you zapped?
That might explain a good few cases then and it would also explain why there is load of people running the "problem legit software" for years and never had an issue 🤔.....
@zbran1Yep the anti cheat works on a kernel level so it can detect cheat programs that aren’t even being used on battlefield 2042.
They probably cheated on past battlefield titles but didn’t realise battlefield 2042 uses a different type of anti cheat

It sees something that's for cheating on your system then you get whacked with the ban hammer.
- @zbran1 Yep they may well not be cheating on battlefield but they will still get banned for having it on their system.
Many games employ this system now
