Absolutely agree, it's very frustrating to try and play with your friends and having to exclude one or more just because you have more then 4 people.

Squads should probably have at least up to 6 members in BF 2042. For example in BF2 (2005) probably up to 7 players were allowed to be in the same squad. There is no ability to create, invite, remove members from the squad now. You can`t even mute someone because there is no VoIP! It`s not a legacy feature, it`s part of the game cmon guys!? One of the key chunks of the game mechanics is missing. I`ll wait for some updates before the final purchase, simple. Legacy feature, give me a break...
