I agree.
The game should support and encourage groups to play together in BF2042. You don't do that by limiting the # of players you can invite to your party in the game to just 4.
Personally, the party size is ok for me for now, but there are two other PSN friends of mine interested in the game (Portal specifically like me) who will be buying it soon. ....more likely to follow if they enjoy it. So, if all five of us are on (or more), it's going to be a hassle getting everyone in the game and into squads.
They should allow more players in a party and do what you said. ....put them into squads of 4 in the same game.

Considering the announcement of no server browser for AOW, I hope DICE will consider increasing party size to 8 so that a bigger group of friends can play together.
There is currently no reasonable solution for friend groups of 5 or more to play together in AOW.
The only painful workaround is this:
1. The party of 4 searching for a game.
2. Once in the game, one of the players leaves the party and creates a new party.
3. The extra players tries to join on that new party.
4. Hope the server slots are not filled.
5. End of the match, do this whole loop again.
Step 4 sucks most of the time because if the server is full, then it could take a long time for the extra friend to get into the action.
These steps are what every clan has tried and given up in this game, because it is very frustrating and inconsistent.
This whole issue is so frustrating, because clans / big groups of friends are the biggest fans of the Battlefield franchise, we actually want to play this game together. But we are totally getting shafted. DICE is hurting its player base because eventually the friends who can't join the squad of 4 feels left out and wont be playing as much.

In general just more community orientated improvements overall.
- squad size configurable in portal yes
- Larger parties brought into the server yes
- I’m game squad creation and private squads yes
- multi round matcha yes
- persistent portal servers yes
4-5 apparently planned soon.
I might play again soon. Not going to hold my breath though, I would die.

I agree.
Although you can join a friend in a full party, you just don't end up in their squad. It was added in 1.2

Right, but BF2042 is still missing so many pieces to make that one feature useful:
1. Still at the mercy of whether the game lobby is full. All the while, the friends are left out with nothing to do.
2. Cannot switch squads in game, so the loner will still be a loner.
3. If a friend that's already in the game tries to join the loner's party, he will first be kicked out of the match and will join a queue if there is one.
4. A party cannot try to join on another party, so every one else has to wait their turn to try getting into the server.
